MY GO TO COLOUR FOR SPRING 2018
I've been seeing a lot of colour trends on my feed recently; some really amazing and inspiring, and some... to be honest, a bit too drab for my interior tastes. Everyone has their own style and personalities when it comes to decor, and most of you already know that I am more about creating my own trends than following a mainstream one.
I've also been thinking a lot about my image and how my passion for colour really needs to make it's way into not only my home, but my wardrobe. Don't get it twisted, black will always be my BABY when it comes to clothing; but it's time to reflect my inner colourful being.
My colour trend for spring 18 is inspired by...well, without sounding shallow, myself. Can you guess? I'll give you a clue; it is a very expensive spice, derived from the crocus flower... Yasssss!!! It's SAFFRON. I have taken the roots of my name slightly deeper to look more into the saffron spice, crocus flower, and it's beautiful shade that has populated a number of gorgeous interior products over the last god knows how long. I love the colour Saffron, not only because it's my name (almost), but because I almost feel like it is part of my identity...REAL YELLOW SKIN- lol.
I've included some of my favourite finds below that all relate to the colour, scent or taste of Saffron. What do you think guys? Could you run with these for Spring '18 too? Hit me up and let me know!
One thing I love about cushions (or just cushion covers) is that you can change them up dependent on the season. These cushions really represent spring to me, and I honestly think they could work with every colour scheme (excluding red, perhaps).
THE STELLA SOFA
For anyone decorating at the moment, or considering a refresh for the new year, I would highly recommend feeding some saffron into your space. Check out some of these gorgeous spaces below that feature shades of saffron's, mustards and similar hues.
