Izgara Restaurant

A must visit!

After a long hiatus of being unable to dine out in restaurants due to big “L” word (which should definitely be banned) I am back with an option for your next date night or meal out with a group of friends.

I’ve been known for my Turkish or Lebanese Restaurant suggestions over the years, ever in search of the best Hummus or Taftoon bread and I can confirm that my recent visit to Izgara Restaurant , while predictable, did not disappoint.

The Izgara restaurant represents excellence cultivated with passion, infused with quality. To elaborate, this restaurant situated in many a spot throughout London is a must try! I visited the Hatch End branch where the decor is modern, inviting and perfect for all sorts of occasions. Their attention to detail and high quality is emphatic to their Mediterranean roots and I was delighted to try a few courses from their menu (as well as their Pomegranate Mojitos - which by the way are AMAZING).

If you’re into cocktails I recommend trying the Pomegranate Mojito’s. 10/10

On entering the Restaurant we were greeted by two lovely hosts who gave us a choice of being seated indoors or out. We visited in the late evening so opted for an indoor table, however there is patio heating outdoors to ensure that guests don’t catch a chill while dining Al Fresco and the outdoor space was so beautiful to look at.

Once seated it wasn’t long until our orders were taken and the libra in me found it hard to select from the various options on the menu. In the end I settled for the the Halloumi starter and Mixed Shish with salad for the main and both were flavoursome and a delight to eat. We were also provided with a fresh bread basket and a duo of dips - cucumber & mint and a chilli sauce that I wish I could have taken home with me.

This was my first visit to the Hatch End branch but it certainly won’t be my last. Total bill came to around £100 for 2 starters, 2 mains + drinks which is a very decent price.

Thank you for having me Izgara and see you soon!
